Description

Gibson’s ES-335 semi-hollowbody electric guitar is a legendary axe, first introduced in 1958, that delivers the perfect combination of solidbody sustain and hollowbody tone. Sporting a 3-ply maple/poplar/maple body construction and dual humbucking pickups, the ES-335 pumps out a warm, resonant sound ideal for rock, blues and jazz. This iconic instrument has been used by music legends for over 60 years.

Dual Humbucking Pickups Provide a Powerful Voice

The ES-335 is equipped with a pair of Gibson’s renowned humbucking pickups—a 496R in the neck position and 500T in the bridge. These pickups feature Alnico II magnets and are calibrated to capture a wide range of tones, from clean and articulate to hot and crunchy. Coil tapping allows single-coil-like tones, providing sonic versatility.

Mahogany Neck and Rosewood Fingerboard Enable Effortless Playability

The ES-335 features a traditional mahogany set neck with a rounded C-profile, providing a comfortable feel and excellent note definition. The rosewood fingerboard contains 22 jumbo frets, allowing for expressive, nuanced soloing higher up on the neck. A 1.695″” nut width gives plenty of room for complex chords and melodic runs.

Semi-Hollow Construction Produces Resonant Tone

The ES-335’s 3-ply maple/poplar/maple body construction strikes the perfect balance between solidbody sustain and hollowbody resonance. Two large f-holes allow the body to breathe, enhancing harmonics and producing a rich, enveloping tone. An ABR-1 Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece provide exceptional tuning stability and intonation.

Timeless Style and Build Quality

With its arched top, f-holes and gold hardware, the ES-335 exudes vintage style and class. Gibson’s celebrated build quality is evident in the instrument’s handcrafted construction, from the structured and book-matched maple top to the Plek’d rosewood fingerboard. Nickel-plated tuners with keystone buttons ensure lifetime tuning accuracy and stability.
