Florida metalcore band Wage War will release a new studio album, Landfall, on October 9 via Fearless Records, and has shared the title track ahead of a headlining North American tour this fall.
The album’s opening single leans into downtuned guitars and harsh vocals before opening into a cleaner chorus, with the band describing hurricane imagery as a metaphor for imminent danger and losing control—an idea rooted in their Florida background. In a statement, Wage War said they wanted the verses to feel heavy and threatening and the chorus to feel somber and inevitable.
Landfall spans 13 tracks, including “Sweet Dreams,” “Silk,” “Figure 8,” “God Complex, “Stay With Me,” “Silence Has Spoken,” “Way Of Pain,” “Red Dot,” “Blindfold,” “Spellbound,” “Song Of The Swamp,” and “Silhouette.”
Tour support comes from We Came As Romans, Varials, and Cane Hill. The run starts October 25 in San Antonio and winds through Houston, Las Vegas, Tempe, Riverside, Albuquerque, Oklahoma City, Kansas City, Madison, St. Louis, Columbus, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Wallingford, Sayreville, Toronto, Buffalo, Huntington, Silver Spring, Philadelphia, Norfolk, Nashville, and Charlotte before closing November 27 in Orlando at Hard Rock Live.
Tickets for the trek are already on sale through the usual live-event channels as the band positions Landfall as both a studio statement and a fall road campaign.
