Taylor Swift is expanding her 2025 album The Life of a Showgirl with a new edition, The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore, due this Friday, September 25. The update adds four previously unheard songs to the set.
The Encore tracklist keeps the original twelve cuts and appends “Patient Zero,” “Cleveland!,” “Pink Clouding,” and “Babylon.” Pitchfork notes the package arrives less than a day after Swift flagged “Patient Zero,” and sits alongside other Showgirl variants already in circulation.
In a statement, Swift pointed to the album’s record-setting first week and a subsequent trip to Sweden with collaborators Max Martin and Shellback. She said the group intended mainly to mark the moment, then wrote more material once they were in a studio, framing the new songs as a response to fans’ enthusiasm for the original record.
Showgirl became Swift’s 15th No. 1 album when it arrived last October. In 2026 she has been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the National Recording Registry, contributed “I Knew It, I Knew You” to Toy Story 5, and is slated for the inaugural Artist Director Honors at this Sunday’s VMAs.
