Fireboy DML Sets October 16 Release for Fifth Album ZUKO!
Fireboy DML will release his fifth studio album ZUKO! on October 16 via YBNL Nation and EMPIRE, teasing a red-suit bandage visual after recent Afro House single “Imali.”

Nigerian star Fireboy DML has locked Friday, October 16, 2026 as the release date for his fifth studio album ZUKO!, confirming the news on Instagram with a cinematic teaser that shows him in a tailored red suit with bandages around his head. DancehallMag reported the 13-track set will arrive via YBNL Nation and EMPIRE, the same partnership that backed his global rise after “Peru” and its Ed Sheeran remix.
ZUKO! follows 2024’s Adedamola, after earlier albums Laughter, Tears & Goosebumps (2019), Apollo (2020), and Playboy (2022). Recent singles point in mixed directions: “Imali,” with Jazzwrld and Thukuthela, moves into South African three-step Afro House, while “Dopamine” and “Story” sit closer to the melodic Afrobeats sound that built his audience. No full tracklist or confirmed guest list has been published yet.
Fireboy has not explained the bandages or the album title, leaving the visual campaign open to interpretation as the October 16 street date approaches. The rollout continues a steady album cadence of roughly every one to two years as he balances hometown songwriting with wider African and international collaborations.
