Ella Langley’s Dandelion is back at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. For the Sept. 19-dated chart, the album rises from No. 3 to the top with 67,000 equivalent album units in the week ending September 10, according to Luminate figures reported by Billboard and Whiskey Riff — a third nonconsecutive week at No. 1, and the smallest weekly total for a No. 1 album so far this year.
The set debuted at No. 1 on April 10 with 169,000 units, spent two weeks on top, and has stayed inside the Top 5 ever since. Reclaiming the summit five months later mirrors the late-cycle bounce Morgan Wallen recently posted with I’m The Problem.
Still tied to a Hot 100 monster
Whiskey Riff notes that “Choosin’ Texas” just notched its 21st week at No. 1 on the all-genre Hot 100 and is positioned to tie Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” for the longest Hot 100 reign ever. The single already made Langley the only woman this century with a country song that topped the Hot 100, Hot Country Songs, and Country Airplay charts at once — and helped her become only the second woman to hold the U.S. No. 1 album and No. 1 song simultaneously with country repertoire.
Tour still rolling
Langley continues headlining The Dandelion Tour into late October (Oxford, Athens, Jacksonville, Knoxville, Columbus, Moline, Red Rocks, Tulsa, Lubbock, two Greek Theatre nights in L.A., Des Moines, Lincoln, Saint Paul), with rotating support from ERNEST, Kameron Marlowe, Gabriella Rose, and Laci Kaye Booth, while also opening for Wallen. Fresh off nine CMA Award nominations, the chart rebound keeps Dandelion in the conversation as both a streaming catalog and a live ticket engine.
