Elderbrook has a new label home and a new album date. The English singer-producer has signed with Counter Records, the Ninja Tune imprint, and will release his fourth studio album, Heart on a Wire, on January 22, Billboard reports.
The 10-song project is described as his most personal and contemplative set yet, leaning into an intimate, rock-tinged take on electronic music and themes of childhood memory, distance from a younger self, and trying to recover that earlier sense of curiosity. Lead single “Lost in the View” arrived Tuesday (October 13). Artwork comes from creative director Charlie Drinkwater, whose past clients include Porter Robinson, Fontaines D.C., James Arthur, and Dermot Kennedy.
Elderbrook, who has about 9.9 million monthly Spotify listeners, is known for tracks such as the 2017 CamelPhat collaboration “Cola” and “Inner Light” with Bob Moses, which reached No. 13 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart last fall. His previous album, Another Touch, came out on Mine Recordings in 2024.
In a statement, Elderbrook said the album feels closer to how he worked early in his career—following ideas instinctively—and called it more honest and personal. Ninja Tune North America managing director Marie Clausen praised his live and production craft and his emotional connection with audiences, welcoming him alongside Red Light Management, The Team, and Counter Records.
