beabadoobee’s fourth studio album, Pylon, is out today (September 18) on Dirty Hit and Interscope Records. The 14-track set was written largely while Beatrice Laus was on the road supporting 2024’s This Is How Tomorrow Moves, and the title nods to electricity pylons that, she has said, kept her feeling tethered to friends and family during long stretches away from home.
Guests and collaborators span the album’s louder, more direct rock palette: Hayley Williams appears on “Nothing to Prove,” Turnstile’s Brendan Yates on “Powerlines,” and contributions also come from Chino Moreno of Deftones, Pinegrove’s Evan Stephens Hall, and Shane Moran of Title Fight, with Matty Healy and George Daniel of The 1975 credited on “Write Me A Letter.” Pre-release singles included “Sun Has Set,” “Switchblade,” and “Memories.”
Laus will road-test the new material on The Powerlines Tour, her first arena outing, beginning October 1 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, with U.S. and U.K. dates including Madison Square Garden, the Kia Forum, and London’s O2. Wisp supports North America and the U.K.; Violet Grohl supports select European shows.
