beabadoobee will release her fourth studio album, Pylon, on September 18 via Dirty Hit and Interscope Records, and has detailed the Powerlines Tour—her first arena run—opening October 1 across North America, the UK, and Europe.
The project follows her UK number one album This Is How Tomorrow Moves. Beatrice Laus has said the title nods to electricity towers that kept her feeling connected to home while touring, and also to a sharper, more distorted sound across 14 songs. Lead single “Sun Has Set” arrives with a video directed by Jake Erland.
Guest contributions include Hayley Williams on “Nothing to Prove,” Turnstile’s Brendan Yates on “Powerlines,” plus turns involving Pinegrove’s Evan Stephens Hall, Deftones’ Chino Moreno, Title Fight’s Shane Moran, and production from Matty Healy and George Daniel of The 1975 on “Write Me A Letter.
The Powerlines Tour includes Madison Square Garden, The Kia Forum, TD Garden, Scotiabank Arena, and London’s The O2, with Wisp supporting in the US, Canada, and UK, and Violet Grohl joining in France, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany. North American dates begin October 1 in Uncasville, Connecticut, before a UK and European leg later in the fall.
Born in the Philippines and raised in London, Laus has built a streaming and chart profile that includes multiple BRIT and BBC Sound Of nominations. Pylon is due on vinyl, CD, and cassette alongside digital formats.
