Ariana Grande has surprise-released Petal (The Complete Live Album) as an iTunes exclusive, giving fans live takes of every track from her latest studio album on the same day she flagged the drop on social media.
The set includes live versions of all 12 songs from Petal, plus a rehearsal recording of lead single “Hate That I Made You Love Me” tied to her Eternal Sunshine-era run. Downloads are available only through iTunes for now.
The release lands shortly after Grande wrapped London O2 dates that had already been framed as her last live shows for a stretch. She has said she is stepping back from public visibility amid ongoing scrutiny, a move she described to fans as planned rather than impulsive.
That pause has also shaped her acting calendar: she withdrew from a planned West End revival of Sunday in the Park with George opposite Wicked co-star Jonathan Bailey and has been reported as exiting the next season of American Horror Story. She is still expected on screen in the Meet the Parents sequel Focker-in-Law with Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro, due in November.
For listeners, the live album bridges the just-finished tour cycle and a quieter chapter — preserving the Petal material in a performance format while Grande resets how much of her life stays on stage and online.
