Against The Current have formally announced their third studio album, Till Death & Back, for October 30, 2026, and dropped new single “Protégé,” with vinyl and CD pre-orders opening the same week. The trio — Chrissy Costanza, Dan Gow, and Will Ferri — also appear on the current cover of Kerrang!
Executive produced by Ferri, the record pairs the band with producers Erik Ron, Josh Gilbert, Morwell, and Josh Saldata. Earlier singles “Always You & I” and “Dead Man Walking” sketched themes of lasting love and survival; “Protégé” turns toward influence, power dynamics, and the ways relationships reshape identity. Costanza described fate as the album’s through-line — a thread that “never breaks, not even in death,” with personal cost as the fire that forges each song.
The 10-track sequence runs from “Fortune Favors The Brave” through “Till Death & Back Again,” placing “Protégé” as track eight. Live, the band’s Till Death & Back Tour hits the UK and Europe from late October into November, including Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, then Paris, Brussels, and a run of German and Alpine dates through Wiesbaden on November 21.
Against The Current frame the album as another deliberate step beyond their early pop-punk roots into a wider alternative sound, balancing large-scale moments with intimate writing without abandoning the emotional directness that built their audience.
