Composer, pianist, and X Japan leader Yoshiki has signed a global distribution and publishing administration agreement with BMG through his label Melodee, expanding how his catalog and new releases reach markets outside Japan.

Under the deal, BMG will distribute Yoshiki’s new releases worldwide, beginning with Forever Love (Live), a Japanese-English collaboration with Josh Groban recorded at Walt Disney Concert Hall. The arrangement also covers Yoshiki’s solo album Eternal Melody and landmark X Japan albums from 1993 onward, including the platinum-selling Art of Life and Dahlia.

BMG will additionally administer Yoshiki’s publishing outside Japan. In a statement accompanying the announcement, Yoshiki said the partnership supports a chapter that blends rock, pop, classical, and contemporary work, with the Groban collaboration marking an early release rather than the whole agenda.

Michael Kachko, Senior Vice President of BMG, called Yoshiki a global artist whose work crosses genres and borders. Yoshiki’s long-running relationship with agency WME remains part of the wider team supporting music, live performance, film, fashion, and philanthropy.

As frontman of X Japan, Yoshiki helped drive worldwide sales of more than 30 million albums and singles and repeated Tokyo Dome sell-outs. The BMG pact is positioned as infrastructure for that next phase rather than a one-off single campaign.
