Sia Sells 50% Catalog Stake to Pophouse in Reported $180 Million Deal

Pophouse Entertainment has taken a 50% stake in Sia’s publishing and master recording rights, with multiple outlets putting the partnership near $180 million. The Swedish firm — co-founded by ABBA’s Björn Ulvaeus — confirmed the acquisition on October 1, 2026 while declining to publish a price; TMZ’s report of the figure, drawn from divorce-related documents, has since been widely echoed by Rolling Stone, Billboard, Variety, and Music Business Worldwide.

The deal covers publishing and masters only, not name-and-likeness rights. Rolling Stone’s sources put annual songwriting and performance royalties around $18 million and say Sia plans an immersive digital avatar show with Pophouse that would use her vocals on hits she wrote and performed, including material tied to Rihanna’s “Diamonds.” That production is still early and is not expected to debut for at least a couple of years.

In a joint statement, Sia said she was “really excited” to work with a partner that wants to “take care” of songs that “mean so much” to her. Pophouse CEO Jessica Koravos called the catalog an exceptional platform for new creative ventures. The investment sits inside Pophouse Fund I, which closed near its €1 billion hard cap in 2025; the company’s 2026 slate already includes Iron Maiden and Tina Turner rights deals, alongside earlier KISS, Cyndi Lauper, Avicii, and Swedish House Mafia holdings and its founding stake in ABBA Voyage.
