JYP Entertainment is pressing beyond a takedown in a bootleg case involving Stray Kids member Han’s track “back to life.” TorrentFreak reports that JYP’s counsel at Arnold & Porter filed a DMCA subpoena application in California federal court seeking Symphonic Distribution records that could identify the uploader behind the alias New Vibs.
Han’s song first appeared May 9, 2026 as a YouTube SKZ-PLAYER video, not on major audio DSPs. It soon showed up on Instagram, TikTok, Apple Music, and YouTube under New Vibs via Symphonic. JYP sent Symphonic a DMCA notice in May; the distributor says it removed the content from DSPs and terminated the account after that claim.
JYP later issued an official DSP release of “back to life,” but the new subpoena bid asks for names, physical and email addresses, IP addresses, phone numbers, payment information, and account histories tied to the Symphonic user. Symphonic told TorrentFreak it has not received further correspondence from JYP since the initial May notice. As of TorrentFreak’s report, the court clerk had not yet issued the subpoena.
