Capitol Christian and Wings Music Group Form Global Faith Music Joint Venture
Capitol Christian Music Group and Capitol Records have signed a JV with London’s Wings Music Group to jointly develop selected Christian and gospel artists while Wings remains independent.

Universal Music Group’s Capitol Christian Music Group and Capitol Records have signed a joint venture with London-based Wings Music Group to jointly sign, develop, and market selected Christian and gospel artists from Wings’ roster and pipeline. Wings stays independent. The deal, reported by Music Week on October 2, 2026, comes as CCMG marks its 50th anniversary and as Capitol Music Group chairman and CEO Tom March has pushed for international growth in faith-based music.
Wings, founded in 2020 by former Integrity Music executives Chris Lawson Jones and Brad Heydon, lists more than 100 artists across its services, including Sondae, LIN D, Jonathan Ogden, Ally Minju, and CityAlight. Select Wings acts will tap Capitol Music Group’s promotional reach for global expansion. Music Week noted Christian and gospel streaming grew more than 18% in the U.S. in 2025 per Luminate, with double-digit gains in several international regions the year before.
March praised Wings’ artist-development focus and said Capitol can give its artists a global platform. CCMG president Brad O’Donnell called Wings one of the most exciting companies in contemporary Christian and gospel worldwide. Lawson Jones described an unprecedented growth moment for the genre and said the major-indie partnership model is where the industry is heading. Josiah Queen, signed to CCMG, was cited as an example of U.S. faith artists expanding abroad, with 5.1 million monthly Spotify listeners and a recent sold-out Troxy show in London.
