Apple has opened Apple Music Hall, its first purpose-built live venue, inside London’s Battersea Power Station—the same complex as Apple’s UK headquarters. The room holds about 600 people and is designed so every performance can be recorded, filmed, and livestreamed.
Infrastructure includes a broadcast control room fed by 16 or more cameras (with iPhone capture running alongside traditional cameras), a 48-speaker spatial sound system, and two dedicated recording/mix studios. Apple says an artist can leave with a finished Spatial Audio recording, a broadcast-ready mix, and multicamera video. The 38-foot stage can shift between end-stage and in-the-round layouts; shows are framed as one-offs and will stream globally.
Zane Lowe, Apple Music’s Global Creative Director, framed the hall as another way to connect artists and fans. Oliver Schusser, vice president of Apple Music and International Content, called it a further step in that commitment. No lineup or ticketing details are public yet; the venue site lists an opening date of September 28 and an email list for onsales, with updates also via @applemusichall. New Apple Music Radio studios opened in the same building.
The project echoes Apple’s earlier London live streak—the iTunes/Apple Music Festival at the Roundhouse (2009–2016)—and follows 2026 live pushes such as Club Live from EDC Las Vegas and Four Tet’s Alexandra Palace set in Spatial Audio.
