George Michael Entertainment and Sony Music are releasing The Faith Tour, an 18-track live album of previously unreleased recordings from Michael’s 1988 Paris shows, on November 6 — paired with a restored concert film heading to North American cinemas on December 11.
The audio comes from the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy stop on the European leg of Michael’s first solo world tour, captured after the blockbuster Faith album cemented his post-Wham! career. Official Charts and Sony materials describe a multi-format rollout that includes vinyl picture discs, colored pressings, CD, audio Blu-ray, and a deluxe box with 3LPs, 2CDs, and a 136-page book of unseen tour photography. Pre-orders opened in early September.
The film, directed by Andy Morahan and David Austin, was assembled from rediscovered 14-camera 35mm footage of the two Paris nights. A new trailer highlights performances of “Careless Whisper,” “Father Figure,” “I Want Your Sex,” and “Faith,” plus archival interview clips. Theatrical showtimes are set to include a Mary McCartney short, Finding Faith, before the main feature.
Together, the album and film give listeners and audiences a newly restored document of a defining late-’80s pop tour rather than another hits compilation — a catalog project aimed at superfans and newcomers catching Michael’s solo breakthrough era in full.
