Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” is the official No. 1 on Billboard’s Songs of the Summer chart for 2026 — and country music just locked the season-ending top three for the first time.
Langley’s smash leads the cumulative Hot 100-based tally that runs from Memorial Day through Labor Day (this year spanning charts dated June 6 through Sept. 12). Taylor Swift’s “I Knew It, I Knew You” finishes at No. 2, while Langley’s own “Be Her” takes No. 3. Prior seasons this decade had seen country titles finish 1–2, but never a clean country sweep of the podium.
“Choosin’ Texas” also drew the period’s most official U.S. streams (407 million, per Luminate) and the most downloads (124,000). It has spent 21 weeks and counting at No. 1 on the Hot 100, including an 11-week stretch since July 4. Released in October 2025, it is a rare summer champion that entered the Hot 100 in a prior calendar year — Billboard notes the last comparable season-ender with that profile was Los Del Rio’s “Macarena (Bayside Boys Mix)” in 1996.
Ariana Grande’s “Hate That I Made You Love Me” lands at No. 4, her strongest Songs of the Summer finish since 2014. Drake’s “Janice STFU,” the only other title to lead the weekly summer tally this season, closes at No. 5. Olivia Dean’s “So Easy (To Fall in Love)” was the radio leader with about 1 billion cumulative audience impressions, finishing No. 8 overall.
The rest of the top 10 mixes Stella Lefty’s “Boston,” Langley and Morgan Wallen’s “I Can’t Love You Anymore,” Dean’s “Man I Need,” and Tame Impala with JENNIE on “Dracula” — a snapshot of a summer where country, pop, and cross-genre hits shared the same scoreboard.
